The SilverEco Awards 2026 recognized 36 organizations from France and around the world during the 18th SilverNight, held on September 14 in Cannes. The winners highlight concrete solutions addressing independence, caregivers, careers in elderly care, health, and new technologies.

Solutions to Address the Challenges of Ageing
The ageing well sector is increasingly moving from experimentation to real-world use. For their 18th edition, the SilverEco Awards recognized initiatives already deployed in the field, selected from 144 applications reviewed by 82 members of the French and international juries. In total, 35 awards were presented to 33 organizations. According to the organizers, this edition reflects a sector that “no longer just makes promises: it delivers.”

“This 18th edition showed a sector that no longer just makes promises: it delivers. Over two days in Canes, French and international players presented solutions already being used by older people and those who support them. We brought them together so that decision-makers could see them in action. This edition also focused on networking and sharing. The Festival’s international approach was particularly noticeable this year. Beyond professional exchanges, the Palais des Festivals in Cannes became a crossroads of cultures and different perspectives on ageing well, with the sharing of best practices as its guiding principle.”

The Silver Economy 2026: Strongly Focused on SilverTech, Independence & Prevention
New technologies play a central role in the Ageing Well field, particularly artificial intelligence, medical remote monitoring, and digital services. However, the awards also show a broader approach to innovation, covering housing, prevention, professional practices, social connections, and responses to situations of vulnerability.
Beyond technology, the recognized initiatives address very practical everyday needs: preserving independence, supporting ageing in place, helping family members, and combating social isolation. Categories covering housing, leisure, wellbeing, and intergenerational connections illustrate this diversity.
This edition also places strong emphasis on prevention and health, with solutions focused on remote monitoring, cognitive stimulation, and preventing loss of independence. The goal remains to highlight solutions capable of improving the quality of life of older people and their loved ones in concrete ways.
The Awards extend this momentum with initiatives from Europe, Latin America, and other regions, covering AgeTech, artificial intelligence, independence, prevention, and social connection. This diversity reflects the different ways of addressing population ageing and the growing exchange of practices between organizations.

With this new edition, the SilverEco International Awards portray an evolving Silver Economy, where innovation is no longer limited to technology but also extends to uses, organizations, and forms of support. This reflects the organizers’ focus on highlighting solutions already in use and capable of addressing ongoing demographic changes.
